Chris Ray is the author of Upward Home, an online resource for marketers of high-end home brands.
He is a nationally recognized authority on high-end home brands, with 25 years of experience working with national and global brands such as Viking Range, St. Charles Cabinetry, ClimateMaster, Friedrich, Geothermal, Hunter Fans, Hestan, Hunter Douglas, Rutt HandCrafted Cabinetry, Jason Hydrotherapy, Baker’s Creek Flooring, Heritage Custom Cabinetry, Jane Shelton Fabrics, and the John-Richard Collection.
Chris has served as a featured speaker at a wide-range of events, ranging from the National Retail Federation annual convention to Silversea Cruises’ national sales meeting to Conde Nast’s House & Garden’s “Well-Lived Life” Summit.
Since 1999, he has served as CEO of Ramey, a brand strategy and marketing communications firm built exclusively for high-end and high-performance brands. Chris began his career at Ramey in 1989 and worked in a variety of roles, including managing the agency’s first satellite office. He left the firm in 1997 to run Archer/Malmo Advertising. In late 1999, he returned to Ramey as CEO, and along with his partners, acquired the agency. He also co-founded Lokion, a digital and brand experience firm, where he served as Chairman from 2002 until 2012.
Whenever possible, Chris likes getting outside of the high-end home – so that he can travel, kayak, camp, or hike with his wife and two sons.
